This city positioned on a hilltop is famous for its UNESCO-protected historic center since it still retains much of the medieval urban layout; it is famous for artistic and architectural pageantry especially in the medieval period; and it is the city of the Palio, Italy's most famous horse race. St. Catherine was also born here and the world's longest-living bank was founded here.
Siena for 'beginners': we will be around about 2 hours to learn about the main places, characters, anecdotes and events that have made this city famous.
Unusual Siena: about 3 hours of tour that will allow you to get to know the emblematic places of the city but also the places less frequented by visitors. If you decide to visit the headquarters of a contrada you will be able to immerse yourself in the reality of Siena, have contact with the locals. But another way to immerse yourself in the local fabric is undoubtedly through its local products.
